The ultimate TARDIS - DW2012

Just watched part 5 and holy it's peak, and like I said in the comments I'm glad to see the Tennant/Gatwa levers light up, but I've been wondering how you'll build the exterior? Like it'll be only doors or???

Apologies if this is a personal question but is this now in its own building? As a viewer I know that past versions were built in a garden shed - I really felt for you when I watched the video about the damp getting in. This is obviously something much larger and more permanent so I was wondering is it a garage or have you built an extension on your house for it?

From what Luke said it's in studio now rather than a garden shed.

DW2012 I'm just wondering could you could release your original plans, so I can at least get an idea of the sizes and angles of your build because i'm building a cheaper version of your console with different materials.

He's posted a picture somewhere, I dont remember where, it's still in a shed but a lot bigger shed

It's been a month to the day since I last updated. What are the chances of that. Progress continues on the new TARDIS console, and this is where I'm at. All 6 panels have almost everything on it now. I'm currently waiting on the last parts of the acrylic to be laser cut. I've recently acquired a couple more parts for the TARDIS including a part from the Junk TARDIS! Every TARDIS ever right? 😃 (on screen that is!)

I also met the wonderful Ncuti Gatwa last month and naturally got him to sign his TARDIS DE-mat lever! The moment I walked up to him, he started laughing and straight away recognised them "Oh my god! A piece of the TARDIS!" I was so glad he recognised them otherwise that would have been quite awkward! He signed the front, and before I moved on I asked him "for old times sake. Do you wanna pull the lever?" he smiled "Yes! Let's go!" and he pulled the lever (god that man is strong!) Maybe I'll get David to sign his next? 👀

My friend Chris has 3D printed the end caps for the 15 Levers, he has also done the Atom Accelerator motor and has also completed the hexagon keys for the keyboard! Should be picking those up shortly! Would certainly be lost without his help!

I've also started to add the hexagon surrounds onto the walls which will house the lights!

For those who seem to be curious. The TARDIS is an extension outbuilding on the film studio. It's a permanent feature with concrete foundations. Definitely not a shed, but is cladding to look like one for the neighbours so it blends in better...I guess it really is a TARDIS!

As for releasing the TARDIS plans, as stated many times in my TARDIS build videos, they are not transferable to the real world, I had to make a lot of changes between the drawings, to actually constructing it. So I had to improvise. They aren't specifically plans either, more of technical drawings for the angles and basic shape, or as I like to call them - a mad mans drawings 😅

Everything looks fantastic. :)
I remember when I first saw DW2012 over a decade ago. I used to watch those fanfilms religiously haha.
